According to the 22nd Amendment of the United States Constitution, a person is limited to being elected to the office of the President only twice. Barack Obama was elected President in 2008 and re-elected in 2012, serving two full terms from January 20, 2009, to January 20, 2017. Therefore, he is not eligible to run for the presidency again.
